Sprinting is an OK option. Most Bodybuilders won't do it, because it takes too much out of their legs, which would be better spent Lifting. I train differently because I train my body for combat sports and not to be "big". I would suggest full power cleans from the floor, which will help your legs, explosivness, speed, and power. Honestly, if I was limited to only ever doing one exercise in my life, Power cleans would be it. Add deadlifts, front squats, and I'll assume you do standard squats already. Really go for a full range of motion, good form and don't worry so much about the weight right now. Shoot for medium to high reps that you can keep a pace at and not have to losw down. Your muscles will act how you train them to act. If you always move slwo and heavy, eventually that is how your body will move. If you train explosive....

I mostly stick to front squats. The reason I was asking was that I read an article over at t-nation I think it was called sprinting your way to total leg development. you should go check it out, I just found it interesting. Anyway, I'll have to give deadlifts a shot. My only problem is I like the plan i'm on now so I need to figure out the best way to put these in.

Not exactly sure what you are trying to develop on the leg area, but like everyone else said definitely give cleans and deads a try..For calves/achilles tendon give donkey calf raises with a dip belt a shot. Theres also sissy squats, lundges .Sorry I couldn't be more help dude.
Basic exercises but check this out man http://www.binghamton.edu/athletics/strength/legs.pdf
