Ok here is the result post for my fight. I WON!!!!!!! It went the distance(3 rounds). I won by unanimous decision.
I got to the place where they were having the fight(Hooters parking lot) at 5pm. The fights were held outside, which wasnt bad at all. It rained for about a half hour after we got there and then got nice and sunny. I was there with my wife and 2 of my kids. My son who is 9 yrs old has never seen me fight live, he has only seen the tapes of my fights. He was excited to finally get to see me in the ring and be there for it. We all had to get registered as amatuer boxers in the state. Everyone had to be shaved, mustach was ok but everything else had to go. So everyone piled into the bathroom at hooters and shaved it all off, kinda funny sight actually. People going into the place with beards and all and coming out with nothing at all. I weighed in at 237lbs. I was one of 4 super heavyweights. The matches were made by the boxing commission. It went by weight and how many fights the person had. Most of the people didnt have any fights as amatuers, I was one of them that was 0-0. There were 21 fights in all that night, 2 of which were girl fights. There were alot of fights in the 150-170lbs range. I was fight #18. Lets get to the guy I fought. He was the heaviest guy that signed up, go figure! He weighed in at 285lbs. Not all fat either! He was a bigger guy that was about my height maybe an inch shorter and he was 21 years old. He didnt have any fights either, so the whole golden gloves rumor that I heard was a line. There were golden gloves fighters there which is probably what the promoter meant when he told my buddy about the fights, but you all know how stuff get changed when it comes down the line and finally gets to the person. Ok back to the fight. Did I mention that the weight difference in my fight was the greatest weight difference out of all the fights. I was outweighed by 50lbs, all the other fights were set to be around 10-15lbs difference. Ok fast forward to 11pm. My fight time has come. I go down to the ring. My opponent goes down to the ring. I am getting boos from the whole crowd and he is getting all the love. I got gloved up before I went down to the ring, as did my opponent. I didnt wrap my hands because I didnt think I would need it. The gloves they use in amatuer fights are only 12ozs. I am used to using 16oz gloves when I fight toughman contests. I wanted to feel my knuckles hitting through the gloves. I didnt have a corner man so I had to have the ref get me one from around ringside. My buddy ran down and got in my corner after the first round also. Ok we get called to the center of the ring told our instructions touch gloves and sent back to our corners. Ok bell rings and I come out ready to rumble. My opponent comes out in a stance that I have never seen before. He has his arms crossed in front of his face and is down low looking out between his arms, like some kind of cross face style. So I am kinda surprised at it and start throwing straight rights and lefts right down the middle. I was landing some good shots right between his arms where he was looking out from. He landed a couple of shots on me but they didnt hurt me at all. After he threw a few shots I knew they werent gonna hurt to bad so I could step back and let some through to block and come back and counter them. I had him stunned in the first round to where the ref stepped in and gave him a standing 8 count. Round 2 slowed down a little. I could see he was getting tired, as was I. I landed a bunch of shots on him and his nose was gushing blood. I love straight punches!!!! He had a tendency to throw backhands out of the stance he was in. 3rd and final round comes and he and I are tired. I landed some bombs on him and he again throws a backhand and the ref steps in and gives him a warning for it. I knew I had the match won and all I had to do is not let him get any lucky shots on me. We exchanged a few more times and the bell rings, end of fight. We both get called to the center of the ring for the decision. I win. He shakes my hand and we give each other a hug. He tells me good fight and I told him the same. I tell him we put on a hell of a show for the people. The ref puts my medal around my neck and I leave the ring a winner. I did wake up yesterday sore. My right hand hurts, my right shoulder hurts when I move it, and my left elbow is a little swollen. I have one noticable black eye. I can imagine how the other guy feels and looks like, lol. DGAF

Thanks bro. He was a big boy, outweighed me by about 50lbs!!! I always get matched up with the big guys. Nobody else would have fought me. I had guys coming up to me asking me what I weighed in at and then telling me they are glad that I wasnt in their weight class. I had one guy tell me that he would have just went home if he found out he had to fight me, lol. I do have to say that when I watched the video my wife took that I do look quite large, bigger than what I perceive myself as when I look in the mirror. DGAF
